My name is Jennifer Batts. I live in beautiful West Michigan, right between the great urban environment of Grand Rapids and the glorious scenery of the Lake Michigan shoreline.
I have always been fascinated by the beauty around me - from grand sweeping landscapes to the tiny details of spring wildflowers to the fascinating lives of my two amazing children. While I have really enjoyed capturing and creating beauty in various art forms over the years, photography has become my primary art medium, and my camera is rarely out of reach. And it is a privilege to be able to share the beauty I see with others.
I love the great outdoors - and nature has been my first source of photographic inspiration. To me, there's nothing like spending a day or a week in one of Michigan's State Parks or like simply going for a walk to refresh my heart. I'm also a homebody type of girl who is happiest while losing myself in a great book, finding a new recipe to try, digging around in my garden, and getting together with a couple close friends for great conversation. I love a perfectly-seasoned steak and a glass of wine and movies that make me cry.
